South Louisiana (Larose, LA) - (12 - 16 years old)
I was 12 years old the first time a migraine put me on the floor. For four years, they kept coming — bad enough that by 16 years old, I was willing to do ANYTHING to avoid the misery/pain. My Dad overheard someone mention that a chiropractor helped their niece with migraines. We immediately scheduled a consultation with that chiropractor.
Day one was an exam and X-rays. Day two, I sat across from my chiropractor and he told me two things:
1) "One day you will become a chiropractor, because your life is about to change."
2) "Your migraines are being caused by a misalignment in your neck and chiropractic adjustments can help you."
Sitting there mid-migraine at 16, I remember exactly what I said back...
"Help me with #2, and then we'll discuss #1."
He was right about both. My migraines drastically improved during my care plan that extended 4 months. I was inspired to become a chiropractor.
19 years old
Three years later, at 19 years old, I broke my back wakeboarding (Traumatic L5 Spondylolisthesis - Grade II) The conversation with my surgeon was headed toward spinal fusion — until chiropractic care gave my body another path. I avoided the surgery entirely. That was the moment I knew I had to strive to become an exceptional chiropractor for the people who would one day be praying for the same relief I got.
Dallas, TX / Orange County, CA - 2016 - 2024
I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, TX and spent the four years after graduation as an associate in a high-volume practice, treating 250+ patients a week. I'm proud of the transformations we delivered there — but that volume also showed me something important: one size does not fit all. Efficient and effective recovery requires more than a single tool or a single technique.

That realization is what led me to open AvantGarde Chiropractic, in August 2024, and develop a continuously evolving approach that combines hands-on chiropractic adjustments with advanced modalities like:
